Lori Lavinthal is a licensed psychotherapist who has served clients in the bay area for the past eight years. Her Cow Hollow District office is private and provides a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. She sees a diverse range of individual adults, couples, children and adolescents. She also offers pre-marital workshops for couples.

Lori Lavinthal has extensive experience working in the mental health community . She has been an on-site psychotherapist and counseling department director of schools in San Francisco and Marin counties. She continues to provide consultation for public health clinics in San Francisco.

Lori Lavinthal received a BA in Psychology from University of California at Santa Cruz. She received a MA in Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies where she also instructed graduate course work. She is licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 39904) to practice psychotherapy. She is affiliated with the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the American Psychological Association Child and Adolescent Division.
